Jennifer has been participating in music making for most of her life. Born and raised in Washington, she studied under the Coleman Studio with Jan Coleman, Simon James, and Hiro David. She later studied violin performance with Professor Tseng at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University in Maryland. During the pandemic, Jennifer began teaching private music lessons in WA and English lessons to students in Costa Rica which is when she discovered her love for teaching. This inspired her to enroll at Teachers College Columbia University 21-23 for music and music education. During her time in New York City, she taught music in Harlem (Teachers College Community School), West Village (St. Luke’s School), and Queens (Frank Sinatra School of the Arts High School). While in the city, Jennifer took on composition projects and collabs with other artists. She received the opportunity to compose a few string melodies into a short film that was screened at the Cannes Film Festival May 2023. During her free time, Jennifer enjoys painting, watching movies, cooking, crochet projects, and rollerblading.
