Bill Sauvage

Enjoy PE and fitness and

stay in good health!

Hello! my name is Bill Sauvage and I am your child’s physical education teacher.  I am thrilled to be sharing my love of PE with your children. A couple of reminders that will aid your child in having a successful start in the gym:

SNEAKER ALERT Since we have a new hardwood gym floor, all our PE students will change into gym tennis shoes for PE. Each student will “walk their shoes to PE” carrying their shoes in a bag or in a cinch sack (labeled with their name) over to the gym. Please make sure that your younger children can change their shoes quickly and efficiently providing shoes with Velcro, pull laces or any other method that works well for your child.

SHORTS UNDER JUMPERS It is helpful to have the primary girls wear shorts under their jumpers especially on PE days. We do some warm-ups on the floor and it just makes it more comfortable for everyone if shorts are worn. The upper grade girls do this already.

We want our children to be good students and engaged learners. One of the best ways to achieve this is to eat healthy and exercise regularly. If you want to help your child learn, add physical activity opportunities to your child’s day. CYO sports, offered here at our school, are an excellent way to stay active. If your child is not involved in some activity, get them involved in a CYO sport for that season. Remember the recommendation is for 60 minutes of activity daily for our young people.

I look forward to working with your children and moving and learning together!

Sincerely,
Bill Sauvage
