During our IB (International Baccalaureate) PYP (Primary Years Programme) unit we were teaching about our central idea which was: Families are unique. We taught this concept through the following guiding questions:
- What are some examples of how families live in our Saint Luke Community?
- How do families use the natural resources of Washington to decide how to build a home?
- Why do families move?
These questions directly relate to our social studies standards. For our end-of-unit project, each child made a claymation video demonstrating their understanding of how their family is unique. Please enjoy the videos below and feel free to paste a compliment in the comment section.
