Welcome to Middle School Math!
I am thrilled to be working with middle school math students!
Each of my math classes will meet every day Monday-Friday. Homework will be assigned each day. Homework is initially assigned through Google Classroom but will be transitioning to Toddle before the end of the year.
Math is not a spectator sport! To improve, students need to practice. The best way to practice is by doing all assigned work. We work from the McGraw Hill reveal series which acts as a workbook. I highly recommend each student use a notebook in addition to the workbook as not all problems can be done within the space in the workbook (this is particularly true for Pre-Algebra and Algebra).
Additional reinforcements of classwork will be provided through Aleks Online program. There will be assignments and homework through Aleks weekly. Generally, the expectation is students will complete 5 topics in Aleks which provides them with the opportunity to fill gaps in previous knowledge, explore our current topics, or push ahead and preview topics which have not been covered yet.
