In the Middle Years Programme (MYP), students develop through creating, performing and presenting arts in ways that engage and convey feelings, experiences and ideas.
It is through this practice that students acquire new skills and master those skills developed in prior learning. Students have opportunities to function as artists, as well as learners of the arts.
VISUAL ARTS
In the Middle Years Program Visual Arts elective, time is dedicated each week exploring the elements and principles of artistic design with mixed media, printmaking, painting, oil pastels, and pastels. Students have time to develop their own creative process to express themselves in a nonverbal way. Students analyze and interpret their own work as well as the art expressions of masters throughout
history.
