This year in science we will be using the Smithsonian Institute STC kits as well as Pearson Science Explorer texts to explore the natural world. This year students will learn to Think Like a Scientist, Discover Electricity, understand the Behavior of Waves, find out What’s the MATTER with Chemistry, and find the link between Ecosystems and Interdependence. Students will also go through the Design Cycle as they apply their understanding of the behavior of matter to create a better ice cream maker
Science Students will use lab journals to record their work, take notes, and use as a study guide.
Students may use their lab journals as a resource for writing lab reports.
Formal Lab Reports will be graded using IB Criterion B and C. Lab Report B/C rubric

Science Test Retake Reflection Science Test Retake Form
Students may retake a science test if they complete a reflection form, signed by the student, parent, and teacher. Reflection must be completed within 2 days of getting the original test returned.
